BREAKING: NDDC: House of Reps takes next decision after ex MD, Joi Nunieh testified

House of Representatives Committee on NDDC has summoned Akpabio to appear before them after the former acting MD of the Commission, Joi Nunieh, testified before the Reps.
Nunieh via Zoom on Friday testified at the ongoing investigative hearing on the alleged illegal expenditure and mismanagement by Niger Delta Development Commission.
She was scheduled to appear before the committee on Thursday, but her Port Harcourt home was invaded by Police.
The investigation of the NDDC got out of place on Thursday as the police stormed Nunieh’s Port Harcourt residence.
However, Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, who prevented the police from taking Nunieh away, had asked the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to investigate the invasion of the former NDDC boss.
Onyxnews Nigeria understands that the invasion was to prevent Nunieh from moving from Port Harcourt to Abuja to testify before the panel.
Meanwhile, in Abuja, senior officials of the NDDC, who showed up before the committee had walked out of the venue of the sitting after maintaining that the panel Chairman, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, must quit.
At the same time, House of Representative Committee investigating the alleged misappropriation of funds in the NDDC has summoned Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, to appear before them on Monday.
