FG to issue private school teachers Covid-19 grant of N100bn

The Federal Government of Nigeria led by President Buhari has planned out a new one hundred billion naira COVID-19 grant to private school teachers.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the Minister of State for Education Emeka Nwajiuba made the announcement during the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 briefing in Abuja yesterday.
Mr Nwajiuba stated that private school teachers can now access intervention grant as the government was continuing with its engagement with private school teachers to access the N100 billion Central Bank of Nigeria credit support intervention for the healthcare industry.
He also expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance with COVID-19 prevention protocol by schools that have resumed for the exit class.
Also speaking during the PTF briefing, the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, urged Nigerians to strictly comply with the COVID-19 safety protocols, such as the appropriate use of facemasks, maintaining social distancing and practicing washing of hand hygiene.
