Nigeri has recorded new cases of the raging coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the total number of the pandemic disease confirmed in the country now is 50,964.
This reliable online news platform also reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement that 476 new cases of the viral infection have been confirmed in Nigeria, making all cases of the disease 50,964 in the country, with 37,569 discharged cases, and 992 deaths.
Onyxnews Nigeria understands that the NCDC confirmed 476 new cases of COVID-19 through the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Thursday night, August 20th 2020.
NCDC recorded that with 476 COVID-19 cases confirmed on Thursday night, 235 was detected in Lagos, FCT-44 Kaduna-41 Borno-33 Plateau-28 Abia-13 Edo-13 Rivers-12 Imo-11 Oyo-10 Kano-9 Kwara-7 Enugu-5 Katsina-5 Gombe-4 Ogun-4 Nasarawa-1 Zamfara-1 .
NCDC tweeted: “476 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-235 FCT-44 Kaduna-41 Borno-33 Plateau-28 Abia-13 Edo-13 Rivers-12 Imo-11 Oyo-10 Kano-9 Kwara-7 Enugu-5 Katsina-5 Gombe-4 Ogun-4 Nasarawa-1 Zamfara-1, 50,964 confirmed, 37,569 discharged and 992 deaths.”
