The restructuring also saw the suspension of Capt. Capt. Chris Najomo has assumed the role of Acting Director-General in the meantime.
Additionally, President Tinubu has approved the commencement of a thorough process, overseen by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, to recruit a substantive Vice-Chancellor and other principal officers for the African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU).
He expects the new leadership to prioritize the safety, convenience, and comfort of the Nigerian people in all their administrative activities.
He also demands the immediate establishment of world-class policies, implementation plans, and regulatory frameworks to reform the sector and align it with his Renewed Hope Agenda.
This signifies the beginning of an important undertaking in the development of the university.
