BREAKING: Kaduna State Govt Orders 24-hour Curfew
The Kaduna State Security Council, under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, has swiftly implemented a 24-hour curfew in the major urban areas of Kaduna and Zaria as well as their surrounding areas.
This decision was made in response to a thorough evaluation of the security landscape in the state, which uncovered that the ongoing protests have been taken over by criminal elements involved in looting and damaging both private and public property.
In an official statement released on Monday, Samuel Aruwan, the overseeing Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, advised residents to stay indoors while security personnel work diligently to uphold safety and order in the region.
Aruwan mentioned that the curfew will be reassessed as required.
The government has appealed to the populace to collaborate with the security agencies and promptly report any suspicious activities in order to ensure a swift resolution of the situation.
