First confirmed case of coronavirus in Africa

On Friday, Egypt’s health ministry confirmed its first case of coronavirus.
The nationality of the person was not given in the joint statement with the population ministry, which added that they had shown no “symptoms”.
Authorities have notified the World Health Organization and the patient has been placed separately in a hospital for treatment and monitoring.
The initial case of coronavirus in Africa was in Ivory Coast about a female student who arrived from China, tested of the virus on the continent.
