BREAKING: Lagos confirms another coronavirus death

Lagos State commissioner of health, Prof Akin Abayomi has confirmed a coronavirus (COVID-19) death case.
The commissioner confirmed a patient killed by the deadly pandemic in a private hospital on Saturday, 11 April 2020.
On the other hand, Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of seven more COVID-19 patients on Friday.
This was announced by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu through his official Twitter handle.
“Today,seven more patients comprising of 3 females and four males were discharged to reconnect with thier families after a full recovery and having tested negative twice consecutively for COVID-19,” Governor Sanwo-Olu tweeted.
Onyxnews Nigeria on Friday night, reported the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 17 fresh cases of the deadly virus in the country.
The agency made the development known via micro-blogging site, Twitter, increasing the number of the virus cases to 305.
Giving updates of the cases the NCDC tweeted, “17 new cases of #COVID-19 have been reported as follows: eight in Lagos, three in Katsina, two in FCT, one in Niger, one in Kaduna, one in Anambra and one in Ondo.
“As of 09:30 pm on the 10th of April, there are 305 confirmed cases, 58 discharged, seven deaths.
“Lagos- 163 FCT- 56 Osun- 20 Oyo- 11 Edo- 12 Bauchi- 6 Akwa Ibom- 5 Kaduna- 6 Ogun- 7 Enugu- 2 Ekiti- 2 Rivers-2 Benue- 1 Ondo- 2 Kwara- 2 Delta- 2 Katsina-2, Anambra-1.”
Adding today’s confirmed death cases, the total number of the deadly COVID-19 death cases now is eight (8) as at 11:00am on Saturday.
