Fire guts CBN in Jos

A part of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Jos branch, has been razed by fire on Tuesday.
This was revealed via the apex bank’s verified Twitter account @cenbank.
“Minor fire outbreak at the Jos branch of Central bank of Nigeria, promptly contained today, April 21, 2020,” CBN tweeted.

This is happening four days after Independent National Electoral Commission’s Media Centre in Abuja was on Friday morning razed by fire.
This reliable online news platform quoted Punch, that the INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of its Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, confirmed the fire incident to newsmen.
Giving an update on the fire incident, he said that the incident would not affect the administrative or technical operations of the Commission.
Onyxnews Nigeria reported that the electoral body stated in a statement released through its National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, who pointed out that the fire incident did not cause any substantial damage to the building.
The building is an annexe, detached from the main building of the INEC’s headquarters.
Okoye said, “Firefighters attached to the Commission swiftly responded to contain the inferno and they were later joined by their colleagues from the Federal Fire Service headquarters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).”
Similarly, six days after, the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) headquarters in Maitama, Abuja was also gutted by fire.
