In a similar development, Nigeria Presidency has called on Nigerians to ignore a “Christian Genocide” campaign allegedly led by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
In a statement by Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity to the president, Garba Shehu, stated that the Presidency dismissed allegations that Christians were being persecuted in Nigeria.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Presidency also agreed in the statement that International groups and societies can send representatives to the West Africa country to investigate the claims.
The statement read thus: “A very deep and wide investigation by an agency of the Nigerian government, working with international partners have made us become aware that there are two, interconnected campaigns being run concurrently by the IPOB in this regard.
