Npower update: Happy mood as Batch A beneficiaries to get June stipends

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that Batch A beneficiaries of the federal government social intervention scheme, N-Power have been given a reason to be happy.

Even with their recent exit from the scheme, Npower has promised to pay their salary.

This is as a result of the scheme administration has confirmed that the affected beneficiaries will get their June stipends.

This development was confirmed on Saturday, 4th July via micro blogging site in response to a question asked by a beneficiary.

A Twitter user, AishaPai1, asked if Batch A beneficiaries will be paid for the month of June. She got a direct reply that said: ‘yes ma’am,’ which implies they will definitely be paid.

On the other hand, the Nigeria Security Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, has confirmed the arrest of one Ibrahim Mohammed for allegedly duping and giving fake N-Power 2020 Batch C recruitment form to about 44 displaced persons in the Borno State IDP camp.

According to the report, the suspect had sold out 44 recruitment forms to displaced persons in the Guzamala Local government IDP camp, charging them a sum of N5,000 each.

This reliable online news platform gathered that the NSCDC, in conjunction with the Management of Bakassi Displaced Camp apprehended Mohammed after he had duped people more than N100,000.

While confirming the report, one of the victims, identified as Musa Ali, told newsmen how Mohammed collected N5000 each from them, assuring them of getting into the Npower programme. Musa also explained how the suspect was always sneaking in with the help some people in the camp.

Meanwhile, one of the camp officials who pleaded anonymity said the suspect is presently under investigation at the NSCDC headquarters in Maiduguri.
