What VP Osinbajo Said About COVID-19 Vaccine In Nigeria
Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has spoken on COVID-19 Vaccines in the country.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the Vice President has said that Nigerians should make a local vaccine instead of depending on the imported ones that are not enough for the country.
He pointed out that Nigeria is expected to receive about 100,000 shots of COVID-19 vaccines this January.
In anticipation of the delivery of these vaccines, Osibanjo raised these points about the production of the vaccines.
He said, it is quite obvious that the 100,000 shots of COVID-19 vaccines that are expected to be received in Nigeria this January is little compared to the population of the country which is around 200 million.
Hence, to compensate for this large population, Nigerians must start talking about how to manufacture locally made vaccines.

Yemi Osinbajo added in his words: “I think that we must be talking now about local vaccine production, improving the training of laboratory scientists, and generally improving our capacity to respond in various ways.”
