Federal Government has extended the NIN-SIM linkage – See new deadline below..
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the NIN-SIM linkage exercise has now been extended till June 30, 2021.
The Nigeria Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Malam Isa Pantami has extended the ongoing National Identification Number (NIN) and Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) integration exercise.
How To Check If Your SIM Have Successfully Been Linked To Your NIN
Recall, OnyxNews Nigeria earlier reported that the NIMC registration deadline, the deadline for subscribers with the National Identification Number (NIN) to link with their mobile number has been postponed to April 6, 2021.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Director, Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission, Ikechukwu Adinde; and the Head, Corporate Communications, National Identity Management Commission, Kayode Adegoke.
The minister, who has been under fore of late over his past pro-Taliban radical comments, was also said to have disclosed that 54 million SIM cards have been linked with NIN.

The NIMC said via its Twitter page, @nimc_ng, that the SIM can be linked to different telecommunication operators using these codes: MTN: *785#; Airtel: *121*1#; Glo: *109*NIN#; 9Moble: *200*8#.
