Video: All Nigerians Are Asking Me To Run For President In 2023 – Governor Yahaya Bello
Governor Yahaya Bello says all Nigerians are asking him to run for president in 2023.
The Governor of Kogi State, northcentral Nigeria, Yahaya Bello, said that he is considering running for 2023 presidential election, Onyxnews reports.
Governor Yahaya Bello said this while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, May 14, 2021.

According to Governor Bello during the programme: “Nigerians, the youth and women, and all Nigerians, including very objective elites are asking me to run for President in 2023,” he said.
“And I believe it is high time that we look into capacity, who can do the job, who is going to unify this country. And I think they are seeing something in me that they are asking me to come and unite and fix this country.
“My answer will be in the affirmative in a few time from now.
“I want to urge each and every one of us that are urging me to come to be patient. It’s a work in progress. And by the grace of God, I am not going to disappoint you when the time comes for me to give a response to that.”

Onyxnews understands that the Kogi State Governor’s present comment contradicts his statement last December. He said “running for president in 2023 not his priority.”
He made the statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Nnogwu Sani Mohammed at the security and economic summit of the North Central Governors Forum in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
The Governor told his supporters not to distract him with the call for him to contest the 2023 presidential election.
He said he is focused on delivering the dividend of democracy to the people of his state.
