Osibanjo Speaks On His Position On 2023 Presidential Intention

Osibanjo has spoken on his position on 2023 presidential intention.
Onyxnews reports that Nigeria Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo has excluded himself from contesting in the 2023 presidential election.
According to Osibanjo in a statement released through his media aide, Laolu Akande on Monday denied a website calling on Nigerians to join a volunteer organization calling for support.
Akande noted that the group soliciting support for his boss is trending on WhatsApp with a suggestion that Osibanjo “quietly” declared intention to run for 2023 election.
The statement further stated that the VP has no relationship with the website or the group behind it and considers such an enterprise an unnecessary distraction.

He said, “Prof. Osibanjo has not declared any interest whatsoever in the 2023 election.”
“He is rather focused on working in his capacity as Vice President in the current administration to address all the compelling issues in the country and concerns of Nigerians, including finding effective and lasting solutions to the security challenges.”
We ask that people should stop such news while we all deal together with the challenges confronting us as Nigerians, and resolve them for the benefit of our people, peace and prosperity in the land.”
