BREAKING: Anambra Governorship Election Turns Bloody As Soldiers Kill One In Ihiala LGA
The Supplementary election in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State has recorded one casualty as soldiers patrolling the council area have shot a yet-to-be-identified man.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared a supplementary election in the area today after election failed to hold there on Saturday, 6th November while the election held in the remaining 20 local governments.
While the election on 6th November recorded no casualty, on Tuesday, soldiers from a patrol van opened fire on commuters hundreds of metres away from the LGA headquarters and one fell, according to a report by FIJ

Reports say crowd began to form around the man after the soldiers moved a short distance away, this prompted the soldiers to return, firing sporadically again and sending residents scampering for security.
When our (FIJ’s) reporter returned to the scene, the middle-aged man was no longer there. Multiple witnesses said he had been picked up by the soldiers.
Attempts to record the incident were futile, as soldiers forced all commuters to alight from their vehicles and raise both hands to full length.
Ihiala has over 140,000 registered voters and 20 wards.

Onyxnewsng reported that the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has the highest votes in the election, having secured victory in 18 of the 20 LGAs where election held while PDP and Young Democratic Party, YPP won in one LGA each.
