Bandits Again Attack Abuja-Kaduna Highway, Kidnap Many Travellers

Bandits attack Abuja-Kaduna highways, abduct many travellers.
Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Monday returned to the Abuja-Kaduna highway, abducted many travellers, Onyxnewsng reports.
The attack occurred between Akilbu and Rijana villages along the expressway.
Confirming the attack, Senator Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna State senator who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate said the security officers refused to engage the kidnappers.
“Some travellers have been kidnapped along Kaduna-Abuja Road an hour ago.
The bandits operated between Akilbu and Rijana villages unchallenged. The road is deserted,” he posted on Twitter.

Passengers on the Abuja-Kaduna highway have been targeted by gunmen recently, with several persons abducted and some killed.
Sagir Hamida, a Zamfara governorship aspirant in the 2019 election, was recently killed by gunmen along the highway.
Several other travellers were also kidnapped during the attack.
