President Buhari sends Strong Message To Nigerians

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to be peacemakers and to live a life of sacrifice in order to leave a lasting impression.

The President said this during the funeral of Ngo Zimi Pam, the mother of Rev. Yakubu Pam, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christians Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), which the service was held on Saturday at the Tahei Polo Field in Gyel, Jos South Local Government Area.

Buhari praised the deceased as a selfless mother who instilled good moral values in her children and provided humanitarian aid to the poor in her community.

The president, who was represented by Dame Pauline Tallen, Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, urged children to honor their mothers in order to live long and prosper.

Mr. Simon Lalong, the governor of Plateau, said in his remarks that the deceased was a devout Christian and community leader who dedicated her life to God and humanity.

He said she mentored many people who went on to be great in society, and he urged her family to take comfort in her good deeds.

Dr. Kayode Fayemi, chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, described the deceased as a selfless woman who cared for not only her children but also the poor children in her community in her tribute.

According to him, she lived a good life and had a positive impact on many people, as evidenced by the testimonies given in her honor.

He urged Nigerians to follow in her footsteps. Chief Audu Ogbe, chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum, said the deceased would continue to intercede for her children and the state even after she died. He urged Plateau residents to pray nonstop for peace in the state in order to support development.

Pray at all hours of the day and night, and the Lord will bring peace to the land,” he said. While praying for the deceased’s family, Rev. Samson Ayokunle, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, expressed his condolences to the NCPC boss and praised the deceased as a virtuous woman. In his response, the NCPC boss expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their outpouring of love and for honoring his mother, who served as a source of strength, prayer warrior, and counselor to him.

Pam stated that he was comforted by the fact that she had witnessed his ascension to various positions before she died.

The Executive Secretary of TETfund, Prof. Suleiman Bogoro, former ministers, legislators, religious and traditional leaders, as well as top government officials, were among the dignitaries who attended the event, according to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN). Ngo Zimi Pam, who lived to be 97 years old, died on January 15th.
