A member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, escaped beaten to death on Saturday, during the election in Lugbe, Abuja.

An eyewitness who spoke with DAILY POST said the NYSC member was caught allegedly thumb-printing ballot papers in favour of a political party.

It took the intervention of some residents and security operatives to save the young man from being beaten to death.

At the same time, a video trending on social media has shown a group of armed youths with huge sticks beating up a young man for allegedly trying to steal a ballot box.

In the trending video, the group of young men who appeared quite enraged hit the alleged offender repeatedly with huge sticks while also berating him for trying to sabotage the presidential election.
