President Tinubu Makes New Appointment
President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has appointed Khalil Suleiman Halilu officially as the new Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
This appointment follows the termination of the tenure of Dr. Bashir Gwandu as EVC/CEO of NASENI.
Khalil Suleiman Halilu, aged 32, will serve in this critical national role for an initial term of five years, in accordance with the provisions of the NASENI Act, 2014. Mr. Halilu’s appointment takes immediate effect.
With his significant experience as an innovator and technology expert, Mr. Halilu is expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to NASENI, contributing to the agency’s mission of promoting and developing science, technology, and engineering infrastructure in Nigeria.
The announcement was made by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, who expressed confidence in Mr. Halilu’s ability to lead NASENI into a new era of scientific and engineering development.
NASENI plays a crucial role in the advancement of science and technology in Nigeria, and Mr. Halilu’s appointment is expected to contribute significantly to the agency’s mission and objectives.
