Mr Ibu’s Wife, Stella Claimed Daughter Jasmine Embezzled Funds Donated For Treatment
Stella Maris, the wife of actor John Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu, has made serious allegations against their adopted daughter, Jasmine.
Maris claims that Jasmine has taken control of the funds that were donated for her husband’s surgery.
As previously reported, Mr Ibu sought public assistance through the internet to support his medical treatment for an undisclosed illness.
Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, he had to have one of his legs amputated last week.
Maris took to Instagram on Monday to express her concerns and revealed that Jasmine has been secretly managing the donated funds.
Additionally, Maris addressed Jasmine’s statement about receiving one million Naira for personal use.
She said, “The N1 million donation that I received was paid into my account in the presence of my husband to offset some bills at the home front. I don’t understand why Jasmine, a complete stranger, should be dragging me over my family matters.
“I don’t have access to the main Access Bank account where people make donations. It is secretly being controlled by Jasmine yet she is cooking up all kinds of lies against me in order to keep absolute control of that account. How she manipulated her way and took control of the account is a story for another day.”
