Kogi Govt: Gov Bello Halts State Government Accounts

All Kogi State and local government accounts has been halted and frozen according to the oder by the state government.
A statement from the Commissioner for Finance, Asiwaju Asiru Idris, stated that henceforth imprests or payments of any kind should not be made from government accounts.
The statement further stated that all standing orders and investment instructions have been Cancelled.
“All Standing Orders and Investment Instructions are hereby Cancelled forthwith.
“All Kogi State and Local Government Accounts are hereby frozen with effect from today, Thursday 22nd November 2003.”
