Gov Bello Announces Prof. Salawu As Confluence University New Vice-chancellor
Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has designated Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu as the Vice-Chancellor of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara.
Prof. Salawu has succeeded his predecessor, Prof. Salawu Sadiku, who is no longer affiliated with the university.
Prof. Salawu, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor, is a distinguished scholar in the field of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering.
He actively participated in the Technical and Implementation Committees that were responsible for establishing CUSTECH in 2020.
During the unveiling ceremony held in Lokoja on Tuesday, Wemi Jones, the Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, conveyed his congratulations to Prof. Salawu.
Mr. Jones expressed his optimism that, based on Prof. Salawu’s impressive track record of accomplishments, he will exceed expectations and lead the university to unprecedented heights.
