‘Why I Can’t Put This In My House’ – Bella Shmurda Explains

Renowned Nigerian musician Bella Shmurda recently declined a portrait featuring himself and his late friend, Mohbad.

The incident occurred during one of Bella Shmurda’s stage performances when an audience member presented the artwork to him.

In a video that has since gained popularity, Bella expressed his refusal to accept the gift, explaining that he would be unable to keep it in his home.

Speaking in Yoruba, he said; “You that brought this picture will be the same person to take it back because I can’t put this in my house, but I will give you money.”

It is worth noting that Mohbad, formerly a signee of Marlian Record label, tragically passed away at the age of 27 in a controversial manner on September 12, 2023.
