Serie A : Roma Sacked Head Coach, Jose Mourinho
AS Roma and manager Jose Mourinho have decided to part ways due to the team’s recent poor performance this season.
Roma announced this development through an official statement on Tuesday.
The team has only managed to win one out of their last six Serie A matches and currently holds the ninth position in the league.
“We will always have great memories of his tenure at Roma, but we believe that an immediate change is in the best interests of the club.
“We wish Jose and his assistants all the best in their future endeavors,” Roma’s statement read in part.
Mourinho had been with Roma since 2021, serving as the manager for two and a half years.
During his time with the team, he successfully led them to victory in the Europa Conference League in 2022.
