I Lost Myself After My Mother’s Death – Singer Wizkid
Wizkid, a highly acclaimed Nigerian singer, has responded to the concerns expressed by internet users regarding his recent appearance at an event in London.
The singer had attended the UK premiere of ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ in London, and videos from the event showed him appearing somber.
After the video clip garnered attention, many Nigerians took to social media to express their worry about his demeanor.
However, in a series of posts on his Instagram story on Wednesday morning, Wizkid opened up about how he has been feeling lost since the passing of his mother.
“Look in the mirror and I don’t feel myself. Mama left me and I lost myself. I can’t wait to feel myself again. Life of a soldier! Military with it! Until then I dey slap away for free so leave me.
“And I’m thankful that you all are going through this phase with me. You seen me at my lowest now. When you see me back on my high no complain. Expensive pain.”
