BREAKING: Access Bank CEO, Herbert Wigwe Dies In Helicopter Crash In US
Many unconfirmed reports from the United States suggest that Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings Plc, may have perished in a helicopter accident close to the California-Nevada border.
It has been mentioned by unofficial sources that Herbert Wigwe’s spouse, Chizoba, was also involved in the sad incident.
However, as of Saturday morning, officials reported to the New York Times that no survivors had been located.
According to the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a helicopter carrying six individuals crashed on Friday night near Nipton, California.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has stated that no survivors have been found as of Saturday morning.
The aircraft involved in the incident has been identified by the FAA as a Eurocopter EC 130.
“We were made aware of a downed aircraft at approximately 10:12 p.m., on February 10, 2024. The scene of the crash was determined to be east of the 15-Freeway, near Halloran Springs Road,” the sheriff’s department said.
Despite these events, there has been no official announcement of cause of the crash by any investigating agency.
The situation remains under investigation and further details are awaited.
