AFCON 2025 QUALIFIER: Super Eagles Arrive Nigeria After Stranded In Libya Airport
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have returned to the country from Libya, according to multiple reports.
After being stranded at the Al Abaq Airport in Libya for hours upon their arrival in the North African nation, the team and officials landed at the Aminu Kano International Airport on Monday night.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) decided to withdraw from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday four encounter following the reported inhumane treatment the players endured in Libya, resulting in the cancellation of the scheduled match in Benina on Tuesday.
