Burna Boy, Wizkid, Others Nominated For 2025 NAACP Awards
Nigerian music icons Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tems have received nominations for the 2025 NAACP Awards, highlighting their significant contributions to the music scene.
Alongside them, actress Ayo Edebiri has also been recognized at this year’s event.
The 56th iteration of the NAACP Awards is set to take place on February 22 at the Pasadena Civic Centre in California.
Wizkid earned two nominations for his collaboration “Piece of My Heart” featuring Brent Faiyaz, competing in the categories of Outstanding Duo or Collaboration and Outstanding International Song.
Burna Boy and Usher received a nod for Best Collaboration for their track “Coming Home,” while Tems secured her place in the Outstanding International Song category with “Love Me JeJe.”
Ayo Edebiri shone brightly with five nominations, including Outstanding Voiceover and Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series.
Additionally, South African singer Tyla is in the running for Outstanding New Artist.
