Reekado Banks Hints at a ‘Clueless or Demonic’ Figure Holding Back Emerging Talents in the Entertainment Industry

Nigerian hip-hop artist Reekado Banks has sparked a wave of reactions following a cryptic statement shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
The artist, known for his vocal stance on industry issues, suggested that a certain individual within the entertainment sector is either “clueless” or “demonic” in their dealings with emerging talents.
In his post, the singer wrote: “One day, I’ll take an interview to talk about someone in the corners of the entertainment industry, who’s either absolutely CLUELESS or plain DEMONIC.”
The statement, though not directed at any specific person, has fueled speculation about whom he may be referring to.
Reekado Banks further hinted at how this unnamed figure influences the careers of young artists, implying that their involvement leads to stagnation or even discouragement.
“Somehow, the brightest budding talents fall in their lap, and either through cluelessness or pure demonic activities, they agree to policies that effectively slow these talents down,” he stated.
Beyond simply delaying progress, Reekado Banks alleged that some artists are pushed out of the industry entirely. He continued, “And for some other talents, frustrate them out of pursuing their dreams.”
This assertion highlights a growing concern in Nigeria’s entertainment sector, where several artists have previously spoken about challenges including unfair contracts, mismanagement, and restrictive agreements.
The artist ended his statement on a suspenseful note, indicating that he would eventually shed more light on the matter. “One day.” With this final remark, Reekado Banks left the door open for a future revelation, keeping industry insiders and fans alike in anticipation.
