Natasha’s Bid to Marry 2Baba Sparks Fierce Opposition from Singer’s Mother – Sources

Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, is reportedly preparing to formalize his relationship with Natasha Osawaru following the collapse of his marriage to Annie Idibia.
Despite ongoing controversies surrounding their relationship, the couple appears unbothered. Recently, a video surfaced online showing them visiting Abuja-based fashion designer Seyi Vodi, where Natasha was heard casually inquiring about the readiness of her wedding dress.
According to sources cited by the Nigerian Tribune, Natasha is determined to become 2Baba’s legally recognized wife, with speculation growing that a traditional wedding may take place before the year ends.
“She’s not here to play. She wants to be the legal Mrs. Idibia, and from all indications, she might get her wish soon,” a source revealed.
However, not everyone is in support of the union. Insiders claim 2Baba’s mother is strongly opposed to his new relationship and has refused to give her blessing, reportedly standing firmly behind Annie Idibia. Family sources suggest she believes Natasha’s presence is deepening divisions within the family.
Despite the resistance, 2Baba has remained silent on the matter. While he has yet to make any public statement regarding his wedding plans, those close to him suggest he is unwavering in his decision to move forward with Natasha.
