BREAKING: Eid-el-Fitr Confirmed As Shawwal Moon Sighted
The crescent moon was sighted on Saturday, March 29, 2025, signaling the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid al-Fitr.
Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Islam, is observed by Muslims as an act of worship and spiritual purification through charity and good deeds.
In Saudi Arabia, more than 10 astronomical observatories were used to search for the crescent moon to determine the start and end of the Islamic lunar calendar, including Ramadan and Eid.
As a result, Sunday, March 30, will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr in Saudi Arabia.
