Mass Vaccination Campaign Set for Ondo State as NOA and Health Agency Collaborate

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Ondo State is collaborating with the Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Agency (OSPHCDA) to implement a mass vaccination campaign from May 3 to 10, 2025. This effort aims to increase immunisation rates and improve child health outcomes statewide.
James Adekunle, NOA’s Ondo State Director, welcomed a visiting team from OSPHCDA led by Permanent Secretary Dr. Adegoke Akanbiemu in Akure. The agencies pledged to combine resources and expertise to ensure the campaign’s success, focusing on immunising children aged 0-15 months and girls aged nine.
Adekunle reiterated NOA’s role in supporting government health programs by spreading awareness about the vaccination drive. He acknowledged the Federal Government’s initiatives to advance maternal and child healthcare and highlighted the need for effective communication to reach the population.
Expressing gratitude, Dr. Akanbiemu praised NOA’s contribution, while Dr. Victor Adefesoye, OSPHCDA’s Director of Disease Control, emphasized the importance of NOA’s information dissemination capabilities in mobilising communities.
This partnership is vital to closing immunisation gaps and safeguarding vulnerable children’s health in Ondo State, with both agencies committed to broad outreach and efficient vaccine administration.
