US Rapper, Diddy Sets To Face Life In Prison Over Allege Sex Trafficking
Prosecutors in the sex trafficking trial involving Sean “Diddy” Combs have alleged that the music mogul once forced a male escort to urinate in the mouth of his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
Opening statements began on May 12, following the completion of jury selection.
Combs has previously pleaded not guilty to several charges, including racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking, and two counts of transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson stated that the alleged incident occurred during one of Combs’ notorious gatherings, referred to as “freak offs.”
These parties were said to involve highly organized sexual encounters featuring male escorts and women who were reportedly coerced or forced to participate.
Johnson described an incident at one such party where Combs allegedly compelled a male escort to urinate in Cassie’s mouth, after which Cassie reportedly said she “felt like she was choking.”
The prosecution also pointed to a 2016 video that allegedly shows Combs kicking, striking, and dragging Cassie through a hotel hallway.
Additionally, a male escort named Daniel Phillip testified that he was regularly hired and paid sometimes up to $6,000 per encounter to have sex with Cassie.
He claimed that Combs would occasionally direct or film these encounters. Phillip also told the court that Ventura once asked him to urinate on her.
“Cassie was actually the one that asked me urinate on her,” he recalled.
“She asked me if I had ever done that before, then told me to do it.
“Apparently, I wasn’t doing it right, because they both corrected me,” the witness stated.
“I felt like I was dealing with someone who had unlimited power. Even if I went to the police, I believed I could still lose my life,” the witness added.
Last week, Combs’ defense team stated they intend to argue that Cassie was an active participant in mutual violence during their relationship.
Cassie is expected to testify during the trial.
Combs, the founder of Bad Boy Records, was arrested in Manhattan on September 16, 2024, and later indicted by federal prosecutors from the Southern District of New York.
He faces additional allegations of sexually abusing 120 individuals including men, women, and a 9-year-old boy.
Report claimed that If convicted on the racketeering charge, Combs could be sentenced to life in prison.
A separate conviction for sex trafficking carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years.
