JUST IN: Sen Natasha’s Plenary Resumption Date Announced
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central District, has pledged to return to the Senate next Tuesday, in accordance with a court ruling.
This follows an appeal filed by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
According to Channels Television, the senator confirmed she has formally informed the Senate of her planned resumption in a letter.
“I have pretty much two months more before the six months expire. However, I have written to the Senate again telling them that I’m resuming on the 22nd, which is on Tuesday, by the special grace of God,” she said.
“I will be there, because the court did make the decision on that. Now, they argue that it’s an order. It’s not an order; it is a decision.”
Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasized that her suspension from the Senate has significantly hampered her duties, especially her capacity to sponsor bills and motions.
