FG announces timing for religious services

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the duration for Church and Mosque service.
The Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari had said that church services must not exceed one hour.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that this was made public on Tuesday June 2, by the National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Sani Aliyu.
This reliable online news platform understands that the government said that Sunday Schools, night vigils, children classes and Islamiya schools still remain suspended.
The PTF Coordinator said churches will open from 5am and close by 8pm with each service lasting for just an hour.
“For churches, each service should be for a maximum of an hour with an interval of thirty minutes in between services to allow time for disinfection,” Aliyu said.
He further explained that Friday prayers in mosques should also not exceed one hour.
“Mosques may open 15 minutes before and ten minutes after prayers. The total time for Friday prayers should not exceed an hour,” the PTF Coordinator said.
This is coming after the FG had lifted the ban imposed on religious gathering.
Meanwhile, Nigeria had recorded 241 new cases of the viral disease. In total the disease is 10819 cases as of Tuesday night, 2 June 2020.
