AFCON: Mikel Shared Opinion On Super Eagles Chance

Super Eagles legend and captain John Mikel Obi has shared his thoughts on the team’s chances in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
Mikel was a key member of the Super Eagles team that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013.
Peseiro’s current team will be aiming to win their fourth AFCON title at the upcoming tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
Mikel has compared the 2013 AFCON-winning team to the current Super Eagles squad stating that the current Super Eagles squad are very young.
“There is a lot of difference, isn’t it? Football has changed from ten years ago and dogmatically, it has really changed. I think this group of players now are a very young team.
“They play a totally different brand of football, so let’s hope we can really see good performance by us, the Nigerian team,”Mikel told CAF’s Media.
The Super Eagles have been drawn in Group C of the AFCON with Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau.
