Ronaldo Confirms Al-Nassr Chapter ‘Over’
Portuguese football star and Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo suggested on Monday that he might part ways with Al-Nassr, stating that “a chapter is over” just hours after the conclusion of the Saudi Pro League season.
Ronaldo, 40, joined the Saudi club in 2022 following his departure from Manchester United, and his current contract is set to expire this summer.
A special transfer window, running from June 1 to 10, has been scheduled to allow the 32 teams participating in the Club World Cup to recruit new players.
“This chapter is over,” Ronaldo wrote on his social media handle.
“The story? Still being written.
“Grateful to all,” the former Real Madrid and Juventus attacker concluded.
Al-Nassr fell short of qualifying for the Asian Champions League Elite after a semi-final loss to Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale in April, and they finished third in the Saudi Pro League.
Despite the team’s performance, Ronaldo emerged as the league’s top scorer with 24 goals.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had previously mentioned last year that he might end his career at Al-Nassr.
