Why Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar used an American mom’s baby’s photo

Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar has cleared the air, explained why she posted an American mom’s baby photo on her Instagram page.
According to the actress, she had sent a direct message via IG to the American mom whose name is Ariel, explaining that she doesn’t mean she owns the baby but “a survivor and loved the pic not a baby pic, woman to woman,” she said when the lady asked why she used her baby photo.
Abubakar posted a baby photo on her Instagram page (already deleted) saying she welcomed a baby on April 3, 2020, but the real owner of the picture reacted and wrote: “So I guess we are now famous in another country.”

Halima stressed: “Am with child too”, blaming social media users for spreading the information.
However, the American mom told Halima that all she wanted her to do was to delete her baby photo from her page.
Halima promised to delete the photo while she apologised to the mom of five through the Instagram’s direct messaging.
Her words: “Hi, I am so sorry about this inconvenience. I had my baby last week and googled baby pics to use to illustrate my baby had come, before I take pics of mine, I saw the beautiful baby’s nails and couldn’t help but use it.
“I never claimed the baby was mine, I don’t understand people on social media these days. I apologise for this. I will delete the picture.
“Congratulations on your baby. God bless,” Nollywood actress Abubakar added.
Meanwhile, the American mom, Ariel shared screenshots of their conversation via her Instagram story. Read below:
