BREAKING: Another professor dies in Kano, burial fixed

A professor of mass communication, Malarabe Maikaba, Bayero University in Kano, is dead.
According to a family source who revealed this bad news, said the deceased burial was fixed for 4pm on Sunday.
One of the former students of the late professor said he was preparing to attend the funeral prayer at the family house of the deceased at Fagge in Kano.
Onyxnews Nigeria fact checked that Maikaba is the sixth professor to have died in one week in the state which has recorded harvests of death during this ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
On 25 April, a medical doctor had reported that the death cases in Kano state has hits 640 after a strange disease allegedly hit the state.
This reliable online news platform understands that reports emerged few days ago from some media platform claiming that about 150 people died within three days in Kano state, causing people to panic.
Onyxnews Nigeria quotes Daily Trust saying, the corpses buried in three cemeteries excludes others buried in many burial grounds across the eight local government areas that constitute Kano metropolis.
The local governments affected so far are Kano, Nasarawa, Gwale, Dala, Ungogo, Fagge, Tarauni, Kumbotso and Municipal.
So far, Kano State has 77 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
However, the several deaths in the state have not yet been linked to the deadly coronavirus disease.
