Edo 2020: President Buhari takes ‘key decision’

Edo 2020 gubernatorial election has caused a lot of tension in Edo State, with the governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki fighting for survival.

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is ready to intervene in the political impasse in Edo State as he is believed to has called on the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole for a dialogue.

This reliable online news platform understands that the meeting between the President will be coming after interventions on Edo 2020 by governors elected from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It was learned that a member of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), who confirmed the development to Daily Independent, said Oshiomhole will meet with the president at the Presidential Villa today.

Onyxnews Nigeria recalls that the Edo Governor presented his APC governorship nomination form to President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Monday.

After that meeting with President Buhari, the Presidency hinted that Buhari has promised a to give a helping hand for Obaseki’s reelection despite having a good relationship with the Party National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who is also from Edo State ahead of the state election this year.
