Nigeria has recorded new cases of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the total number of the viral infection confirmed in the country is now 50,488.
This reliable online news platform also reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement that 593 new cases of the pandemic infection have been confirmed in Nigeria, making all cases of the disease 50,488 in the country, with 37,304 discharged cases, and 985 deaths.
Onyxnews Nigeria understands that the NCDC confirmed 593 new cases of COVID-19 through the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Wednesday night, August 19th 2020.
NCDC recorded that with 593 COVID-19 cases confirmed on Wednesday night, 186 was detected in Plateau, Lagos-172 FCT-62 Oyo-27 Delta-25 Rivers-20 Ondo-19 Edo-18 Kaduna-17 Enugu-12 Akwa Ibom-10 Ogun-7 Abia-6 Gombe-6 Kano-3 Osun-3.
NCDC tweeted: “593 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Plateau-186 Lagos-172 FCT-62 Oyo-27 Delta-25 Rivers-20 Ondo-19 Edo-18 Kaduna-17 Enugu-12 Akwa Ibom-10 Ogun-7 Abia-6 Gombe-6 Kano-3 Osun-3 50,488 confirmed, 37,304 discharged cases and 985 deaths.”
