Outcome of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s meeting with state Governors
Outcome of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s meeting with state Governors Simon Lalong of Plateau state and Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa state emerged.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the Nigerian Vice President and the two states governors met on reconciliation efforts of the All Progressive Congress (APC) chapter in Ogun, Imo and Oyo States.
Although, there have been crises among warring factions in recently times.
Governor Badaru told the pressmen that the Vice President gave some suggestions on how to effectively carry out the task.
Badaru stressed that the peace moves were to make sure that the All Progressive Congress is made strong.
“If there are ripples among members, we’ll bring them together and make sure we have one strong and powerful party.”
Governor Abubakar Badaru revealed that they also discussed the zero oil committees.
“We are charting our progress and a new agenda for the development of non-oil exports,” the governor Badaru said.
Governor Lalong of Plateau state spoke in the same vein, adding that Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was interested in reconciliations within the APC members.
He said: “He is also from Ogun State; you cannot do reconciliation without consulting him. He knows everybody there; he knows part of the problems. So, he can give us advice as to how to go about.”
