Another Top Politician Is Dead.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that former Zonal Chairman North East of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Emmanuel Njiwah is dead.

This online news platform understands that Njiwah’s death was made public through an official statement by the party Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan.
The statement read: “As a member of our party’s National Working Committee before his destined elevation to the exalted stool of the highly revered Mbonduah of Mbamnga Chiefdom, Njiwah, was a stabilising force.

“He made outstanding contributions for the stability, growth and success of our great party in his home state, Taraba, the Northeast as well as at the national level,” Ologbondiyan said without saying the cause of Njiwah’s death in the statement.
The part secretary also said that Njiwah distinguished himself in service of his fatherland, as local government administrator as well as a commissioner for rural development and cooperatives in the old Gongola State.
He said that the deceased also distinguished himself when he served as secretary to the Taraba State Government and in many more assignments, where he made innumerable sacrifices in service as a true patriot.
“As a traditional ruler, Njiwah demonstrated an exceptional love in leading his people and reinforced our party’s belief in our national pride as embodied in our traditional institution.
“Our party deeply commiserates with the Njiwah family, Gov. Darius Ishaku, the PDP fold in Taraba and the North East as well as the Government and people of Taraba,” he said.
Njiwah started his illustrious career in December 1967 as a Boundary Surveyor with Gashaka/Mambilla/Kurmi Local Authority. He was a Technician with Posts and Telecommunication, Maiduguri (1969 to 1970).
He taught at the Government Secondary School, Gembu (1973 to 1974). He served as Secretary at Wukari Local Government in Gongola State (now Taraba State) from 1981 to 1983.
Njiwah was Commissioner for Rural Development and Co-operatives in Gongola and Secretary to Taraba Government from June 2012 to July 2013.
Apart from being the former Zonal Chairman North East of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), he was also the paramount ruler of Mbamnga Chiefdom in Taraba State.
