What Presidency, Air Force Said About Death Of Chief Of Army Staff

Nigeria’s presidency has confirmed the death of Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru who died in a plane crash on Friday evening.
Onyxnews reports that the personal assistant to the president on new media, Bashir Ahmed has reacted to this claims, confirming the stories going viral.
He posted a picture of the chief of Army staff, with a heartbreaking reaction, which read: “Painful! Painful!! Painful!!! 💔💔💔 ”

Onyxnews reported earlier that the new Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, has died in a plane crash in Kaduna on Friday evening.
One of General Attahiru’s close aides confirmed to newsmen, saying “I can confirm that to you that he (COAS) was with his wife. Let’s talk later.”
Onyxnews also reports that the spokesperson of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, confirmed the incident saying a Nigerian Air Force plane was involved in a crash.
Onyxnews gathered that the Chief of Army Staff was on board the aircraft along side his wife and six other senior military officers.
The NAF spokesman added that, “the immediate cause of the crash is still being ascertained.”

However, Air Force spokesperson did not reveal identities of those on board the craft.
