Federal Commissioner Dies In Fatal Road Crash
Federal Commissioner Alhaji Faruq Umar Dies In A Road Crash in Yobe State.
Alhaji Faruq Umar, a federal commissioner in the Code of Conduct Bureau who represented the North East Region, was killed in a car accident.
The deceased was involved in an accident early on Sunday morning on the Jakusko-Gashu’a highway while returning from a visit to Jakusko for a funeral.
Idi Barde Gubana, the Deputy Governor of Yobe State, was among the senior government officials who attended the funeral prayer of the deceased.
Ustaz Babagana Mallan Kyari, the former Special Adviser to Governor Buni on Religious Affairs, led the prayer at the state low-cost in Gashu’a town, the capital of Bade local government area in the state.
The Deputy Governor Gubana then expressed his condolences to the deceased’s family and the residents of the Bade Local Government Area for their tragic loss.
He also prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul and the fortitude of the family left behind to bear the irreparable loss. Faruq Umar passed away at the age of 52, leaving behind two wives and six children.
