Unknown Gunmen Invaded A Farm And Kidnapped 8 Women In FCT

A group of armed individuals has kidnapped eight women from a farm located in Gwombe village, which is part of Gwargwada Chiefdom in the Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This incident took place shortly after another kidnapping incident occurred in Yewuti village, Kwali, where the father of the vice chairman of Kwali Area Council and six others were abducted.
According to a reliable source, the abduction of the eight women took place at approximately 5:00 pm on Monday.
The gunmen, equipped with AK-47 rifles, approached the women while they were engaged in benni seed harvesting and surrounded them.
A respected figure within the community, who prefers to remain anonymous, has verified the occurrence of the abduction and mentioned that four of the women are from the same household.
He said, “I suspect that these gunmen that abducted our women are among those ones that escaped from neighbouring Kabbi village who were roaming inside the bush after Miyetti Allah vigilantes neutralised some of them over the weekend.”
The spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, was unavailable for comment when reached for a response regarding the incident.
