Why 85% of Women Want To Quit Their Marriages — Actress Jaiye Kuti
Jaiye Kuti, a prominent Nollywood actress, has candidly discussed the challenges faced by many women in their marriages.
According to Kuti, a staggering 85% of women in marital unions desire to end their marriages.
In a recent interview, the actress expounded on the cultural disparities experienced by most couples, leading to moments of unbearable tension within the marriage.
Kuti further elaborated by noting that during the course of a marriage, individuals often discover new aspects of their partner that were previously unknown during the dating phase.
Drawing from her personal experience, Kuti revealed that she had attempted to dissolve her own marriage on three occasions, yet she found herself unable to follow through with those decisions.
“If you ask a hundred women, 85% want to exit their marriage. I even tried to leave thrice. The problem is that when you marry someone from a different culture, people start to reveal their actual selves.A man would treat and pamper a woman when he wanted to get married, but when a second marriage and kids are involved, things go too far. Men can also have egotistical tendencies and are unstoppable when it comes to cheating.”
