Bayern Munich Confirms Tuchel’s Departure
Amid a recent string of poor results, Bayern Munich has made the decision to part company with manager Thomas Tuchel at the conclusion of the season.
The club suffered defeats including a 3-0 loss to league leaders Bayern Leverkusen, a 1-0 defeat to Lazio in the Champions League, and a 3-2 loss to VFL Bochum on Sunday.
In a statement on Bayern’s website on Wednesday, the club’s CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, said: “In an open, good conversation, we came to the decision to mutually end our collaboration in the summer.”
Tuchel is set to depart from Bayern in the upcoming summer.
