UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Barcelona Set New Record In 3-1 Win Over Napoli
Barcelona made history in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night with a 3-1 victory over Napoli in the round of 16 second leg match held in Spain.
OptaJose reported that Barcelona became the first team in Champions League history to field two players aged 17 or under in a knockout stage game.
The players were Lamine Yamal (16 years and 243 days) and Pau Cubarsí (17 years and 50 days).
In the same match, goals from Fermin Lopez, Joao Cancelo, and Robert Lewandowski secured the win for the La Liga side, while Amir Rrahmani found the back of the net for Napoli against Xavi’s team.
