NiMet Predicts 3-day Sunshine, Thunderstorm From Monday
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has forecasted a mix of sunshine and thunderstorms across the country from Monday to Wednesday.
NiMet’s weather report, which was issued on Sunday in Abuja, projected sunny and hazy conditions over parts of Yobe and Borno states on Monday, with a possibility of thunderstorms in some areas of Kebbi.
The agency stated that the Northern regions would experience sunny weather with some cloudy patches in the morning, while isolated thunderstorms might occur in parts of Bauchi, Taraba, and Kaduna states later in the day.
For the North Central region, NiMet anticipated sunny skies with a few clouds in the morning, alongside isolated thunderstorms expected in areas of Niger, Kwara, and Benue.
The agency also predicted isolated thunderstorms over parts of Plateau, FCT, Benue, Nasarawa, and Kogi later in the day.
In the South, NiMet projected cloudy conditions with intervals of sunshine and the likelihood of isolated thunderstorms over parts of Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Delta, Edo, Lagos, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River states in the morning.
Additionally, isolated thunderstorms are expected in parts of Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra, Abia, Ogun, Imo, Edo, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa states later in the day.
